The performance Territorios Errantes, presented by the collective Las Errantes (Elsbeth Carolin Iten, Maricruz Peñaloza and Kerstin Wittenberg), was held during the VIII International Congress of Performance Art, ‘Acción Spring(t)’, at the Facultad de Bellas Artes, Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), on 8 April 2025.

The performance explores migrated and migrating bodies, the body as territory, the body in transit, dialogue between humans and plants, knowledge transfer, and personal perspectives. What parallels exist between the stories emanating from plants and people? When do we – plants and humans – migrate and change? Is plant knowledge part of our ‘territory-body’, and if so, how can we recognise it?
We address these questions through performance, using our bodies, plant bodies, language, and stories that convey our personal experiences and points of view.
